‘Nous avons pensé ce tokonoma comme un espace où dialogueraient nos découvertes, nos objets en devenir, les influences et les possibilités glanées lors des quatre mois de notre résidence. Nous l’avons conçu avec le « Genius loci de la VK » : matériaux laissés dans la remise par d’autres résidents avant nous. Nous serions heureux que d’autres y voient un espace de monstration pour leurs recherches.’

この床の間は、私たちの発見、制作途中の作品、そして4ヶ月の滞在で得た影響や可能性が対話する場所として考えました。以前のヴィラ九条山のレジデントが館内に残していったもので作られています。この床の間は今後次のレジデントたちがリサーチや作品を見せられるスペースとして利用していただけると嬉しく思います。

This tokonoma is a space for a dialogue between discoveries, objects in the making, influences and possibilities collected during four months of residence. It is conceived with the ‘Genius loci of Villa Kujoyama’: materials left hereby others residents. We wouldd be delighted if  the future residents keep using it as a showcase for their research and works.
